Mr French.

I think it is rare that you share an almost perfect taste in music with a DJ. When listening to mixes I usually have one or two songs at least that I’m a bit unsure of, or in a club, the songs that I don’t mind missing to go for a quick ciggy and have a random chat with someone in the smoking area! This never seems to be the case with Mr French. Every mix he uploads I get along with, perfectly. His song choice and flow on a mix is ideal, for me anyway!  This is why I’m posting about him. I’ve never had the chance to see him live in a club because we live at seperate ends of the country, but that doesn’t take anything away from the way he mixes.

This is one of my favourite mixes by him. A nice fidget/ghetto-tech sound.

Their from the Netherlands, so they are bound to be slightly crazy. Mightyfools are currently on tour across America, then heading to Europe for a few shows. Unfortunately only coming to England for one show on 11th December and to rub it in, it is in Leeds.

Their bouncy fidget sound is awesome though and it is well worth checking out the Myspace for some more tunes and tour dates! Hopefully they will sail back over to England soon and play somewhere a bit closer to home!  I’ll leave you with a couple of their remixes, but I definatley recommend spending the time to keep track on these guys. They deserve to be huge!
Lionel Richie – All Night Long (Mightyfools Remix).

Sound Of Stereo – Heads Up (Mightyfools Remix).

Fidget Heroes!

These guys definatley rank up in my top 3 producers. Without a doubt. Once again though, they have never yet come to play any club in England. Someobody really needs to get on this and get a number of DJs over here quick! I’m talking about Stereoheroes. French Fidget at its best, or should I say Fidget at its absoloute best. They have just put up their latest Remix on YouTube a real jaw clenching dirty electro sound to it. If your liking this then you need to get over to their Myspace for the rest of their stuff. Enjoy.

Gtronic – Iron Man (StereoHeroes Remix).

Living in Brighton I thought I’d make a post on probably the biggest party throwers in town! Hosting nights that bring in DJs like Fake Blood, Major Lazer & Hervé is never a bad thing. Especially for a city like Brighton which is thriving on Electronic music. The thing that sets aside Blah Blah Blah DJs and their nights is the atmosphere they create with their sets, they provide the perfect warm up for your 6 hour dance session. If your in town on 3rd December, make sure you head down to Digital on the sea front to hear them gracing the decks alongside Mumdance and Major Lazer. Also check their Blog for more news and tunes.

Sweet Sweet Lies – The Day I Change (Blah Blah Blah DJs Remix).

Fenech Soler – LA Love (Blah Blah Blah DJs Rework).

After finding the remix of Ellie Goulding by Kids At The Bar I was keen to find out more about them, or at least hear some more of their remixes. Glad I did too to be honest. I think I have found a new pair of producers which I love. Why can’t they be from England?! Probably means I’m not gonna get to see them tear up a club for a while! Unless they wanna get in touch and tell me they are heading this way soon? But anyways, I looked up the myspace and tried to find a bit of info on these guys, but not much about. Mainly just remixes of theirs around the blogosphere! I don’t think they have yet produced their own stuff, but I might be wrong. More importantly check out their Myspace for more tunes and tour dates and I’ll leave you with one of my faves which I have found so far.

Trash Yourself & The Toxic Avenger – Die (Kids at the Bar Remix).

Ellie Goulding. To be honest, I have been in love with her a voice for a few weeks now. She is quickly becoming the new In-Indie girl, quirky style and good lyrics, but some of the remixes coming out of her latest single ‘Under The Sheets’ are insane. I thought I had found my favourite, the Baby Monster remix, until this one by Kids At The Bar surfaced… I wish I could upload MP3s  on here already because this is already on repeat for me!

Major Failure?

Now I am a big Diplo fan and I thought I was going to be keen on Major Lazor. Especially after hearing Pon De Floor, but after hearing this tune I’m not so sure. The tame bassline and cheesy vocals to ‘Keep It Goin’ Louder’ have really put me off. The song title and the actual song, don’t really match. What you reckon? (Gotta be one of the wierdest videos I’ve seen for a while).

Major Lazer – Keep It Goin’ Louder Feat. Nina Sky & Ricky Blaze.

If you are a Major Lazer fan and from the Brighton area, make sure you check them out on 3rd December at Digital for the weekly Thursday Club. I’m sure that even though I’m not keen on this song that this night will be off the hook with big tunes and massive bass. I was there for Fake Blood the other week, not sure they will top that night!
